Rise P. Newman has extensive experience representing clients in estate planning and estate administration matters. Her experience extends to Power of Attorney issues (preparation of Power of Attorney instruments and representation of Agents) and to guardianship law (representing guardians, representing alleged incapacitated persons, and filing guardianship petitions). Her estate planning skills include Wills and Trusts, planning for non-traditional families, planning for blended families, and planning for long term care (nursing home care with an emphasis on Medicaid planning). Rise's dedication to her practice resulted in her co-chairing the Philadelphia Bar Association Elder Law Committee and spear heading a project to write a Guardianship Manual for the County of Philadelphia resulting in the formation of Guardianship Manual Committee of which she also Co-Chairs. Ms. Newman is a frequent lecturer for National Business Institute on various topics such as probate (estate administration) and tax issues associated with estates and estate planning.
